Itinerary – 21 Days

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

  • Pick-up, hotel transfer, trek briefing

Day 2: Flight Kathmandu → Bhadrapur, drive to Ilam

  • Scenic flight and 5-6 hr jeep drive

Day 3: Drive Ilam → Taplejung → Mitlung (921 m)

  • Begin trek through terraced farmland

Day 4–8: Trek Mitlung → Chirwa → Sekathum → Amjilosa → Gyabla → Ghunsa

  • Gradual gain through deep valleys and forests
  • Stay in traditional villages

Day 9–11: Ghunsa → Kambachen → Lhonak → Pangpema (5,143 m – North Base Camp)

  • Epic views of Kanchenjunga, Jannu & Kirat Chuli
  • Optional hike up for better panoramic shots

Day 12–13: Return Lhonak → Ghunsa → Sele La (pass camp)

  • Cross Sele La Pass (~4,290 m)

Day 14–17: Trek to Tseram → Ramche → Oktang (South Base Camp – 4,620 m)

  • Stunning views of south face of Kanchenjunga
  • Visit Yalung Glacier & glacial lakes

Day 18–20: Descend to Torongdin → Yamphuding → Khebang → Drive to Birtamod

Day 21: Flight Bhadrapur → Kathmandu

Option to shorten trek by visiting only North or South Base Camp.
