Kalinchowk is a sacred Hindu pilgrimage site with the Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple and offers spectacular sunrise and snow-capped mountain views. This trek blends nature, culture, and spirituality in a short, accessible journey.

What To Expect

Day 1: Kathmandu → Mude → Khola Kharka (2,980 m)

Drive 6–7 hrs to Mude, then 1–2 hrs hike or jeep ride to Khola Kharka.
Scenic route through Dolalghat and Mude, passing tea gardens and rolling hills.
Overnight: Community homestay or camp at Khola Kharka.

Day 2: Hike to Sailung Top (3,146 m) – Explore Thulo Sailung

Hike Duration: 3–4 hrs (round trip).
Enjoy sunrise and panoramic views of 100+ Himalayan peaks.
Walk along ridges, visit spiritual stupas, local shepherd settlements, and meditation sites.
Overnight: Return to Khola Kharka or stay near Sailung ridge.

Day 3: Khola Kharka → Surke (Trek/Jeep) → Charikot → Kalinchowk Base

Trek/Drive: 2–3 hrs trek to Surke, then 3–4 hrs jeep ride to Charikot & Kalinchowk Base.
Highlights: Tamang and Thami villages, scenic mountain road to Kalinchowk.
Overnight: Lodge at Kuri Village (Kalinchowk Base).

Day 4: Kalinchowk Temple Hike (3,842 m) → Charikot

Early morning sunrise at Kalinchowk with views of Gaurishankar, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa.
Visit Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple; cable car optional for easier access.
Descend & drive 1.5 hrs back to Charikot.
Overnight: Hotel in Charikot.
