Everest (8,848.86 m), Lhotse, Makalu, Ama Dablam, Cho Oyu, and more. You’ll explore the serene Gokyo Lakes, trek alongside the vast Khumbu & Ngozumpa Glaciers, and climb up to Kala Patthar (5,545 m) for the best viewpoint of Everest itself.

What To Expect

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m)

  • Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. Transfer to hotel, trek briefing, gear check. Evening free in Thamel.
    Overnight in Kathmandu (4-star hotel).

Day 2: Kathmandu Preparation Day

  • Meet guide, finalize permits and trek logistics. Optional city sightseeing (Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Durbar Square).
    Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3: Kathmandu → Lukla Flight (2,800 m) → Phakding (2,652 m)

  • Scenic 40-min flight to Lukla. Begin trek with gradual descent along Dudh Koshi River (3–4 hrs).
    Overnight in Phakding (teahouse).

Day 4: Phakding → Namche Bazaar (3,438 m)

  • Cross suspension bridges, ascend steeply via Hillary Bridge. Enter Sagarmatha National Park (5–6 hrs).
    Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 5: Acclimatization in Namche

  • Day hike to Khumjung village or Everest View Hotel. Visit Hillary School & Khumjung Monastery.
    Overnight in Namche.

Day 6: Namche → Phortse Thanga (3,680 m)

  • Leave main EBC trail, hike quieter route with views of Ama Dablam & Kantega (5–6 hrs).
    Overnight in Phortse Thanga.

Day 7: Phortse Thanga → Machhermo (4,470 m)

  • Pass through rhododendron forests into alpine terrain with Cho Oyu views (4–5 hrs).
    Overnight in Machhermo.

Day 8: Machhermo → Gokyo (4,800 m)

  • Trek past alpine lakes, reach Dudh Pokhari (Third Lake) with Everest & Makalu views (4–5 hrs).
    Overnight in Gokyo.

Day 9: Acclimatization in Gokyo / Optional Hike to Gokyo Ri (5,357 m)

  • Morning hike to Gokyo Ri for 360° panorama of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu & Cho Oyu. Option: hike to Fifth Lake.
    Overnight in Gokyo.

Day 10: Gokyo → Thagnak (4,750 m)

  • Cross Ngozumpa Glacier, Nepal’s largest, to reach Thagnak (4–5 hrs).
    Overnight in Thagnak.

Day 11: Thagnak → Cho La Pass (5,367 m) → Dzongla (4,830 m)

  • Challenging day crossing icy Cho La Pass, descend to Dzongla (7–8 hrs).
    Overnight in Dzongla

Day 12: Dzongla → Lobuche (4,940 m)

  • Short trek through rocky terrain with Pumori & Nuptse views (2–3 hrs).
    Overnight in Lobuche.

Day 13: Lobuche → Gorak Shep (5,140 m) → Everest Base Camp (5,364 m)

  • Trek across glacier moraine to Gorak Shep. Continue to iconic Everest Base Camp, return to Gorak Shep (6–7 hrs).
    Overnight in Gorak Shep.

Day 14: Gorak Shep → Kala Patthar (5,545 m) → Pheriche (4,240 m)

  • Early hike to Kala Patthar for sunrise over Everest. Descend via Lobuche to Pheriche (7–8 hrs).

  • Retrace route through Pangboche & Tengboche (6–7 hrs).
    Overnight in Namche.
